About
I build bridges between what companies do, and why customers should care.
I’ve been building brands, big and small, since the early 1990s. Along the way, I’ve been a copywriter, creative director, strategist, team leader, and mentor (sometimes all at once). Most recently, I spent 11 years at Salesforce, where I helped transform the company from a jumble of products with 400 logos into a single, unified brand—now ranked the 35th most valuable in the world, and Adweek’s B2B Brand of the Year in 2024.
That chapter gave me fresh perspective on what I love most: uncovering insights, clarifying complexity, leading creative teams, mentoring talent, and helping companies build brands that resonate, with systems that keep things clear and consistent across every touchpoint.
This work still brings me joy. So does helping people—founders, CMOs, creative leaders, thinkers, and doers—get to the heart of who they are and how they show up.
I’m currently on sabbatical through December 2025, immersing myself in the creative possibilities of generative AI. I’m always glad to talk, learn, share, connect, and see where good conversation leads. If you’d like to reach out, just fill out the form and I’ll get right back to you.
I live in Bend, Oregon, with my wife Allison and our impossibly charming long-haired merle mini-dachshund, Mitzi. And I’ll work wherever the work takes me.
